PROJECTS

1.5 ACRE FOOD PLOT
This was a project done on Seth's home property. We cleared about 1.25 acre of low lying grass and prickley ash and about .25 acre of existing food plot and created a nice food plot where we then planted a mixture of corn and beans for seasonal food and clover for early season. This made a nice area for deer that gave them space in a very thick part of the property. Becuase of the mixture of vegitation, this plot was easily huntable with gun or bow.

10 ACRE PINE CLEAR CUT
On Jake's hunting land in Marinette County, we decided to clear cut a 10 acre plot of spiratic pine trees along with meadow grass. The reason for this project was becuase of how the pine trees were located, it made this part of his property useless for hunting. One reason being the trees did not provide enough cover for the deer and another reason was because most of the trees were clumped together which stunted their growth. After the clear cut and debris cleanup, we planted corn for a buffer system from the road but also is a year around food source in a location where agriculture fields are not as common as the rest of central and southern Wisconsin.

5 ACRE FOOD PLOT
This project was done in Buffalo County. The purpose of this food plot was to be dual purpose meaning it is going to be used as a longated food plot but also a road. The reason we decided to go this route is because of the pre existing road already being there. This road was main acess to go from one side of the property to the other. Instead of re-routing the road out of the heavily populated deer section of his property, we decided a food plot would train those deer to be accepting of vehicle and foot traffic on this road.

4 ACRE FOOD PLOT
This property owner had a case of emerald ash bore in Oconto County. What we figured was the best idea, because he had the land capital for it, was a large 3-4 acre food plot that could be sectioned apart and planted in multiple different food sources. We decided to do clover in ther corner closest to bedding area with a couple of corn rows leading up to it that should be planted there every year, this would allow for a quieter entrance into the stand. We suggested the rest of the food plot to be corn or beans because of the lack of ag fields directly around this property.
